I’m driven by a positive vision of the future—one where people and the planet thrive together. My goal is to reduce automobile dependence, tackle carbon emissions, and protect the natural world by making it easier for people to avoid driving. I believe in grand visions, but try to focus on achievable actions in my own life.

 

My academic background is in urban and transport planning. Over the past 10 years, I’ve worked with cities and transit agencies in the US, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland on bike, bus, and rail projects. My current focus is the design and operation of rail networks in Canada and Switzerland, and on the software systems used to run these.

I am fortunate to be from many places and in my free time I try to see as much of the world as possible.
